Wishing Well
Wedding Registries are fun, aren’t they? They’re that slightly awkward but oh-so-necessary part of a guest’s pre-wedding preparations that can sometimes leave you red-faced or just plain confused at what gift to get the happy couple! After all, none of us want to be seen as ‘cheap’, but we’re not made of money either! And have you noticed how wedding registries have evolved from simple items like: ‘Blenders/Coffee Makers/Kettles/Juicers/Food Processors/Fondue Sets/Manchester and Bedding’ etc, to now regularly including things like: ‘Big Screen TVs/Laptops/iPhones/X-Boxes/Jewellery and Royal Doulton Fine China Sets’! (All real items discovered when researching ‘Wedding Registries’!)
Lucky for us, we’re not twenty-year olds starting out on life’s adventure, and thus pretty much have all the household stuff we need. Consequently, rather than have a traditional ‘Wedding Registry’, we’re having a ‘Wishing Well’ instead. A ‘Wishing Well’ is traditionally where wedding guests place cash in an envelope along with a card where they write down a ‘Wish’ for the happy couple to bless their marriage. The sealed envelope is then dropped into the wishing well, to be opened by the bride and groom after the wedding.
The reasons we’re doing the wishing well at our wedding is because most of Logan’s family is in the UK, and won’t be able to attend the wedding. And we really want to be able to afford to visit Logan’s family as an alternative to a traditional honeymoon. So any help you’re able to give with this via the Wishing Well would be gratefully and humbly accepted.
Wishing Well Donations for Those Unable to Attend
Should you be unable to attend the wedding due to the tyranny of distance, or prior commitments, but still wish to leave a donation and a Wish for the bride and groom, by all means click on the Paypal link below, and type your wish in the box provided. All donations and wishes will be placed in sealed envelopes on your behalf and placed in the wishing well at the wedding itself 😊
